Valentine’s Day is approaching and this “Rose Blush Mocha” is the perfect drink to celebrate the love day. It’s a dessert and after-dinner coffee in a single cup.
I created this drink because I love rose water and wanted to incorporate it into something warm and soothing. And I nailed it with this delicious mocha. When I gave a cup to Khalid, he took a few sips, then said,” This is so delicious! It’s making me feel all warm and cozy inside.” Yes!!
My mom absolutely LOVED this mocha! She requested another cup later that day.
IT’S THAT GOOD!
Rose Blush Mocha
Makes two cups.
- Whole milk- 1 1/2 cups
- Heavy cream- 1/4 cup
- Instant coffee- 1 1/2 tsp
- White chocolate- 3 oz
- Sugar- 1/2 tsp or to taste
- Rose water- 1/2 tsp
- Pink food coloring- a few drops (optional)
In a small saucepan, heat the cream till it starts to boil slightly. While waiting for the cream to boil. Chop the white chocolate into small pieces and put in a heatproof bowl. Add in the instant coffee. Once the cream starts to boil, pour it over the chocolate and coffee. Mix well to make it smooth and the chocolate will melt completely. In the same saucepan, heat the whole milk till it’s about to boil. Add the chocolate and coffee mixture and whisk. Add in sugar if needed and whisk well. As soon as it’s nice and frothy, pour in rose water, pink food color (optional) and turn off heat. Pour into mugs. Serve with whipped cream on top and garnish with rose petals.
