“Anyone who does anything to help a child in his life is a hero to me.” Fred Rogers (Mister Rogers)
It’s Teacher Appreciation Week and we are so thankful to all the amazing teachers who continue to inspire our children to be better everyday! Teachers are truly the real superheroes! Last year, inspired by Pinterest, my son and I made these cute edible gifts to give to his amazing teachers! We baked chocolate chunk cookies and wrapped them up in cute packaging. I then cut out a tag out of card stock and my then 7 year old wrote this cute saying on it! Doesn’t he have the neatest handwriting? 😍
This year, we got inspired by this quote:
“A teacher plants the seeds of knowledge, sprinkles them with love, and patiently nurtures their growth to produce tomorrow’s dreams.”Author unknown
I got this beautiful floral paper pad from Michaels and cut the paper out into circles. After writing the quote on it, I added “Thank you for helping our children bloom/grow”. These became the tags to tie on bouquets.
I always buy flowers from Whole Foods to support whole trade florists! I wrapped the bouquets in brown paper & then double wrapped them in a cute gift wrapping paper. They looked super cute! Next I took some twine and wound it around and tied a knot! The tag was attached with the help of a stapler.
I was so happy with how they came out! The floral tag against a cute, wrapped bouquet looked so elegant! Loved all the colors!
I had got an assortment of different flowers and they all looked stunning!
Doesn’t my bag look so colorful and happy? It makes me smile just by looking at it! 😊
I also included an edible gift this year too because I love to bake & share the love! ❤️
I baked my amazing “RasMalai Cupcakes” and topped them with edible dried rose petals.
I found these cute free printable online at skiptomylou.org and printed these tags to go with the cupcakes. I wrote the description of my cupcake at the back for the teacher’s information.
I then put each cupcake in a clear plastic cup and wrapped them up in treat bags, attaching the tag with a gold ribbon. They looked so adorable!
This was the final look. I loved how excited my kids were to give these out to their teachers! And the teachers were extremely touched! We are so blessed to have such amazing mentors and guide for our kids! It feels so good to show our appreciation to them for all that they do! ❤️
