This quote holds a special place in my heart. More now that I have been blessed with motherhood. I remember my own moments with my parents which have now become precious memories for me. A treasure chest I peek into a lot!

My husband and I have always set out to make special moments with our children. Moments that we hope would become cherished memories for them as they grow up. And so, what could be more memorable for them than their special day! Their birthdays! We ask our kids what type of birthday fun they would like to have and then try our best to make it magical and special for them!

My daughter, Nawwara, just turned six last week. What an amazing age! She is officially not a toddler anymore but a little girl who is beautiful, smart, loving, and very spunky! She has fallen in love with the Unicorn themed parties and cake, so it was a magical 6th birthday party that we threw for her!

I made her favorite cake! Chocolate cake with a white chocolate frosting! This was such a fun cake to design and create. And it was delicious! I purchased the unicorn horn and eye lashes from Amazon.

For the decorations, I had to be mindful of space. We live in the city and while we love the many perks we enjoy of being in the heart of such an amazing walkable, family friendly city; we have a major space constraint. So I work with what I have and be grateful! ☺️

I covered my window blinds with streamers made out with crepe paper in three basic colors and then attached beautiful, decorative fans from Target & Amazon. I purchased the “happy birthday” banner with matching plates & napkin from Oriental Trading company. They were perfect for the pastel & gold look I was going for!

I covered two empty cardboard boxes with beautiful wrapping paper and made it into a stand. Added spray painted gold unicorns, and bouquets of individual fluffy pink & yellow cotton candy flowers! Glimmering string lights added the sparkle to this gorgeous table! Used gold cutlery along with these fun plates for a perfect table setting!

For food, I served my special Pakistani snack called “Chaat” in individual cups, had roasted jalapeño hummus and salsa along with baked pita chips, pizza, cookies, fruit & of course, CAKE! 😋

My kids waiting for the guests to arrive! My son was an amazing big brother and helped me organize the girls for all the activities! He tried his best to make sure that everything ran smoothly! ❤️

I had bought these small painting kits from Target and they were the perfect fun activity for all the girls to do! We also played “pin the horn on the unicorn” and it was a great hit!

At the end, we gave each little girl a goody bag to take home! I purchased these bags from Oriental Trading and then decorated with matching tissue paper and a diy balloon garland.

There were an assortment of fun stuff in the goody bags for the girls to enjoy! Unicorn stickers and necklace bought from Oriental trading. Headband bought from Walmart. Sunglasses and paint-your-own canvas bought from Target. Pinkalicious book is from Amazon!

I’m so happy to say that it was such a fun birthday party! All the effort and hard work faded away when my baby girl gave me huge hug and with shining eyes told me how much she loved every moment of it! ❤️
